“We want to frame the SouthWest as a missions field, not just as a liberal lost cause. I’m not in competition with the rest of the country at all. I’m happy for every church that’s started, but it truly feels like a foreign mission field. Some people will write off Nevada as if it’s all “Sin City”, or write off the desert people, or environmentalists, or Native Americans, or Mormons, and some would almost wish that all of us liberal Californians would just fall off into the ocean! But are all these people just LIBERAL… because they don’t think like you? Or are they Lost? We feel like missionaries in a foreign field, and I’m praying you can see the GREAT need for church planting right here in our own country."
